I've got the supertrapp, kept the white spacer, and it has a new jet. Power increase is very noticable. Sound is louder but quite pleasant/civil. It sounds like you own a motorcycle. What I find interesting is that some people say that the supertrapp disks are for varying the sound. My understanding, and what my mechanic said was that the tuning (# of disks) is for performance. Anyway if you do the installation yourself, you probably want to start with 5 disks and go up in number from there.

It is the best money I spent on the bike, aside from the bike itself. Yes the metal turns colors (mine at the joint) even though it is the most expensive exhaust you can buy, but the power increase is very noticable and adds both acceleration and comfortable top crusing speed.

In texas where most all the cars have windows closed all the time. I don't see how an exhaust can make you more 'visible'. I think George is right that it is more likely to save your life by making the bike get out the way better.
